MOYY Atölye is a design and production studio based in Çamlıhemşin.
The idea of the studio was born here. Over time, production grew together with nearby
villages and towns, in close connection with local craft traditions.

MOYY Atölye is inspired by feretiko, a traditional weaving practice from this region.
Feretiko is not only a reference. It shapes how production is approached, how fast it moves, and how making is understood. Traditional knowledge is carried into the present and adapted to today’s needs.

Production is done together with the local community. Women’s labour is at the centre of this process. Most weaving, textile and handmade work is done by women. MOYY Atölye supports women’s active and independent presence in both social and economic life. Fair pay, continuity, and long-term working relationships are essential parts of this approach.

MOYY Atölye works directly and ethically with artisans. Skills and knowledge are not
treated only as tools, but as living cultural heritage that should continue. Relationships are based on trust and long-term collaboration.

Alongside feretiko weaving, MOYY Atölye works with other artisanal practices such as
baskets made from hazelnut wood, handmade textiles, and wooden objects produced from local trees. Craft is seen as a shared system where different practices support each other.

Production is slow, limited, and careful. Each product passes through different hands and processes. Small differences are natural and reflect the human touch behind each piece.

Local and natural materials are mainly used in production. Respect for nature is not treated as a trend, but as a basic part of the production process.

MOYY Atölye’s products carry the traces of a production culture shaped by this land. They are not only functional objects, but living stories — heritage passed on to the future.
